ARIZONA AMERICAN VALUES LEGISLATION In Arizona, legislation is currently being debated that seeks to limit what public schools and universities can include in their curricula. Senate Bill 1108 would ban teachings that are counter to democracy and Western civilization or that encourage dissent. But educators and students across the state have sounded alarms about the proposal, saying the law is really targeting Chicano student organizations and ethnic studies classes. From KJZZ in Phoenix, Marcos Najera has our story. DR. RODOLFO ACUNA Latino USA's Maria Hinojosa speaks with Professor Rodolfo Acuna about the proposed Arizona legislation.
