President Bush is expecting a warm welcome by Colombian President Alvaro Uribe on his trip through Latin America. Uribe is one of only a few staunch US allies in the region, and Colombia receives hundreds of millions of dollars in aid each year as part of the war on drugs and terror. Bush has lauded the drug eradication programs in Colombia, saying it makes the region safer, yet as reporter Mike Ceasar recently found, the program is causing tensions between Colombia and Ecuador.
