Catalino Tapia
In his conversation with Maria, J.D. Trout mentions a recent NPR story about an immigrant gardener who created a scholarship program funded by his landscaping clients. The immigrant is named Catalino Tapia, founder of the Bay Area Gardeners’ Foundation and the story was done by Latino USA contributor Nancy Mullane and aired in January 2009.
