Alex currently lives in, and is a native of Los Angeles, though she has familial roots in both Mexico and Eastern Europe — much like Little Julian Herrera.
I used to go to the El Monte Legion to see Johnny Otis, Fats Damino, The Premiers and Little Julian Herrera who asked me to go out with him but I was warned by one of the Premiers not to get involved with him as he was bad news. I later heard of his arrest and read that some years later he died of a heroine overdose and his body found in Elisian Park.
