We are continuing our collaboration with the magazine Culture Strike to bring you our next Poetry Edition of Sabiduría, words of wisdom from poets. This time we are hearing from Erika L. Sánchez, an award winning poet, writer, and editor. She spoke to us about feeling like an outsider and the lessons she’s learned from her family.

Erika L. Sánchez reading “Portrait of a Wetback,” “Quinceañera,” and “Donkey Poem.”
