The biggest recent story out of Mexico has been slow to gain traction in the U.S. At least forty-three students from a teachers’ college in the town of Ayotzinapa have reportedly been disappeared, and their whereabouts and fates remain, for now, a mystery. Their disappearance has sparked protests throughout Mexico, including the burning of the front doors of the Mexican National Palace, the equivalent of the White House. And the protests took on a tense atmosphere after Mexico’s attorney general, after an hour-long press conference, uttered the words “Ya me cansé,” or “I’ve had enough,” which became a trending hashtag on Twitter quickly. Host Maria Hinojosa discusses the story with senior producer A.C. Valdez.
