Writer Michele Serros burst onto the scene in 1993 with her book “Chicana Falsa: And other stories of death, identity and Oxnard.” Her wit and willingness to be forthcoming about the quirks, conflicts, and insecurities of her identity made her a representative for a new generation of [email protected] writers.
