Writer Michele Serros burst onto the scene in 1993 with her book “Chicana Falsa: And other stories of death, identity and Oxnard.” Her wit and willingness to be forthcoming about the quirks, conflicts, and insecurities of her identity made her a representative for a new generation of Latin@ writers. Here, we remember her by listening to her reading of “Hollywood Park.” She died of cancer January 4th, 2015, at the age of 48 in Berkeley, California.
