This week, a video from an Mexican immigrant who is undocumented and works at a restaurant inside a Donald Trump hotel has gone viral: so much so that it even appeared in The New York Times. According to the Times, 24-year-old Ricardo Aca uploaded the following video “on Facebook on Monday, where it attracted more than 300,000 views in 24 hours.”
Aca was specifically addressing Trump’s continued focus on immigration and characterizations of undocumented individuals. As Aca told the Times: “I was offended because this is not who we are, this is not who I am, this is not anybody I know who is an immigrant.”
Aca’s video is getting a lot of digital buzz this week. Just check out how many outlets are covering it by going to this link.

Thank you ! For saying this out loud
Brave young man, many blessings .
Thank you y que Dios te bendiga
Very well presented and said. I applaud you. And encourage you to find a job elsewhere; Trump doesn’t deserve you!
Eloquent, intelligent, moving. All the qualities of a good person, undeserving of the ignorance of a few, loud and hateful people. Dios que bendiga, amigo.
Well said but why not become a real citizen and pay taxes like the rest of us. Immigrants are wonderful just do it legally and be counted.
Bravo! We need more of this!
I’m sorry, but people who violate our laws to get here are lawbreakers, pure and simple. The vast majority of immigrants to this country waited in line to get here, and most of them do not like that others come illegally, and there is no punishment. Also, Trump said the “people being sent by the Mexican government” are rapists, criminals, etc. He was not talking about people who come here on their own. But you won’t see that distinction from the media. They take snippets of what they want people to hear and think, not the whole truth. I know many Mexicans who are hard-working God fearing people and are an asset to our country. My heart goes out to those who came here illegally as children.
Once more, America is a Continent, United States of America a country!
I am proud of you for standing up for all Latinos in US! You keep up your fight! I want u as a citizen here!
