Last night, the cast of Hamilton performed the musical’s opening number during the Grammy Awards broadcast on CBS. Later, the show’s cast recording won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album and Lin-Manuel Miranda gave an acceptance speech in his own Lin-Manuel way.

Last year, before Hamilton became one of the hottest shows in the history of Broadway, Miranda was featured on NPR’s Latino USA and took Maria Hinojosa on a tour of northern Manhattan to reveal the unexpected connection between the Founding Fathers and today’s hip-hop culture.

This is not the first time Miranda has dropped rhymes with acceptance speeches.
