This Friday March 18 our friends at NPR Code Switch will be hosting a Twitter chat to discuss the “Obama Effect” and Latinos.

As Code Switch’s Adrian Florido writes:

How has the idea of Latino identity evolved over the last eight years, in light of America’s first non-white president, the frustrated push for immigration reform, and the simple fact that the U.S. is becoming increasingly brown?

The March 18 Twitter chat starts at 1:30pmET/10:30amPR. Participants will be using the #NPRObamaEffect.

Our @LatinoUSA handle will be part of the Twitter chat, as well as host @Maria_Hinojosa and editor @julito77.
