From anti-Semitic graffiti to hate-inspired murders and online harassment, hate crimes are a national problem and yet there is not one database that accurately collects that information.
That’s why ProPublica launched Documenting Hate, a website that collects and verifies reports to create a national database for use by journalists, researchers and civil rights organizations.
So if you have been the victim or witness of a hate crime fill out the form below.
ProPublica will collect the information but will not report it to the police or share your information without your permission.
ProPublica —an independent, nonprofit newsroom that produces investigative journalism— has partnered with Google News Lab, Univision, WNYC, The New York Times Opinion, Latino USA and other media outlets to help spread the word about the only database collection.
