
Ever wonder how Latino USA decides its stories? Senior Editor Nadia Reiman spoke with Anali from The Nueva Latina about her role here at Latino USA, narrative journalism and the show’s future.
“We want to keep being as fair and accurate as possible and we want to keep telling complicated stories,” Reiman said in the interview. “We don’t just want to tell synthetic stories. We want to tell complicated ones. Some where the protagonist isn’t as easy to relate to. and to kind of push the idea of what it means to be and live a Latino life.”
Reiman, being of Costa Rican and Chilean descent, understands that Latino experiences are not all the same.
“It means different things to different people. It means something different to a Tejano than it does to a Latino from Miami than it does to a Latino from New York. Our experiences are so varied,” she sadi
