Earlier this year, ProPublica, an independent nonprofit newsroom, launched an online database to track hate crimes across the country called Documenting Hate.

Latino USA is one of many media partners of the database, and we have posted the online form that people can use to report their incidents of racial intimidation, harassment, or any type of hate crime.

The online database has almost 4,000 reports of bias-related incidents. Some entries have police reports to back them up, others have been verified by either ProPublica or reporters and many others still need to be investigated.

We sit down with Rachel Glickhouse from Documenting Hate to talk about what this database can tell us.
