There are a lot of myths in general about DACA recipients and the economy—the main one is that they use more resources than they give. However, Harvard professor Roberto Gonzales says the opposite is true: the economic contribution of DACA recipients to the United States is huge. The loss of these nearly 800,000 earners could have a lasting financial impact on the country.
Gonzales is the author of the book Lives in Limbo: Undocumented and Coming of Age in America and the director of the National UnDACAmented Research Project.
