In a country where samba is often associated with male musicians, the women from Moça Prosa prove themselves at every show. The group hopes to honor the memory of the women who came before them by putting together a performance in a traditional ‘roda’ and singing classic Brazilian samba songs, as well as their own original music. They call themselves “resistance samba.”
