Stephanie Guyer-Stevens is a radio producer and founder of the media team Outer Voices. For Stephanie, getting the story has required hiking the jungles of northern Laos, sailing to Polynesian outliers of the Solomon Islands, and calling yaks with Tibetan nomads. As a single mom raising two kids she brought them to work, traveling to Asia and the Pacific Islands during school vacations.
Stephanie has also reported and produced for NPR’s Weekend Edition, Latino USA, Studio 360 and Hearing Voices; PRI’s The World and Australia Broadcasting’s Earshot. She’s a graduate of Reed College with a degree in religion. Stephanie’s quest for unheard stories continues from her current home on St. John, US Virgin Islands.
